"Befriend" Connect Group

Is real connection too risky? We live in a world where real friendship is hard to find. Suspicious of others and insecure about ourselves, we retreat to the safety of our small, self-made digital worlds. Tragically, even the church can become a place that reinforces this isolation. Jesus models a much richer vision of friendship.

We invite you to see the breadth of Christ's love toward people we often avoid. In this 6-session series, we outline principles for befriending those around us with the love of Jesus. Sessions such as these are especially necessary as we have faced stay-at-home restrictions, placing hindrances on friendships and connecting with others.

Yes, it's true: Real connection is costly. Love does make us vulnerable. But without risk, our lives will remain impoverished. Learn what it means to be a good friend in an age of judgement, isolation, and fear.
